I have spent a lovely week in Sorrento , Italy attending my younger sister’s wedding. It was such a lovely relaxed affair and lovely for all the family to be together. So I’m back home now and looking at my sketches and doodlings of patterns. This one was inspired by a double layer of chicken wire of all things. It’s called Hexalay.

After posting this pattern it turns out that this design has been created by another lady. What are the odds of that. Great minds think alike. She had created hers back in September but I have decided to leave my version on here too.
It’s been a while but I have two new patterns for you called ‘Roids’. Just click on thumbnails for a step by step drawing guide.
N.B. I have found out that my pattern ‘Shons’ was similar to another pattern from another tangle artist. It is only fair that I remove it as her pattern was published first. http://tanglepatterns.com/2012/08/how-to-draw-spokes.html. My intention is not to copy it just so happens that sometimes patterns can be duplicated. Just goes to show that great minds think alike.
Where has the year gone. I can’t believe that’s it 2013 already.
I have been busy designing for Silhouette America. If you want to take a look at what I’ve been creating then please click on the link.
I am also thrilled that currently one of my designs is No.1 on the popular designs page. Roman clock with gears n cogs http://www.silhouetteonlinestore.com/php/?page=browse-popular-designs.
The weather is dark and grey ATM and we have been threatened with snow. But no sign of it yet. However, I have managed to sneak in two more tangles called ‘Ruffles’ and ‘Soutache’.
You can get the step by step on how to create these patterns on my tangle pages.
I have been a bit quite lately from blogging but not from creating. I now have been accepted as a contributing Artist for Silhouette America. I create designs that are used on electronic cutting machines for personal or commercial use. So I’ve been busy designing for them, and finally earning some money from all my crafty efforts.
However, I’ve still managed to keep up with my Tangle pattern designing as I find it a welcome change from sitting in front of a computer all day, staring at the screen and becoming bugged eyed.
The new patterns are called ‘Votive’ and ‘U-Bend’. You can find the step by step guides on my tangle patterns pages.
Having these four days of Jubilee Celebrations has given me the chance to be creative. They all have the same theme ‘The Sun’. I like to know where it’s been hiding, it showed it’s face momentarily yesterday but as usual with our British Bank Holidays it disappears and is replaced by the cloud and rain.
As usual, click on the thumbnails for a step by step guide on how to create these patterns. Plus you’ll find lots more on my Tangle Patterns page.
Bye for now
Who can believe that we are now 6 months into the year, where does it all go? Well look on the bright side only 6 months until Christmas. GROAN.
In today’s news we learn that our Milky way Galaxy will collide with the Andromeda Galaxy in 4 billion years time. Mmmm I don’t now what chocolate that is, I wonder what that collaboration will taste like. Milky Way, Galaxy, get it! no never mind.
