inHello Everyone
Having these four days of Jubilee Celebrations has given me the chance to be creative. They all have the same theme ‘The Sun’. I like to know where it’s been hiding, it showed it’s face momentarily yesterday but as usual with our British Bank Holidays it disappears and is replaced by the cloud and rain.
‘Night N Day’
‘Sun up Sun Down’
‘Morning’
‘Chasing the Sun’
As usual, click on the thumbnails for a step by step guide on how to create these patterns. Plus you’ll find lots more on my Tangle Patterns page.
Bye for now

inHello Everyone
Who can believe that we are now 6 months into the year, where does it all go? Well look on the bright side only 6 months until Christmas. GROAN.
In today’s news we learn that our Milky way Galaxy will collide with the Andromeda Galaxy in 4 billion years time. Mmmm I don’t now what chocolate that is, I wonder what that collaboration will taste like. Milky Way, Galaxy, get it! no never mind.
here’s are two new patterns called Linden and Lap.

inHi All
It’s been a while since I have blogged but I have been busy getting to grips with my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine, plus I’ve been distracted with a new i-Pad.
Two things; one I have a new pattern for you called Pozi and the other is that…sooooo excited. I have been accepted as a contributing artist for Silhouette America for designing and selling Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) cutting files for electronic cutting machines. I love dabbling in patterns and digital imagery so now hopefully will earn a bit of pocket money in something that I love doing. I’ll post the link later when they have been put up on their website.
There was a brilliant quote my husband saw the other day saying…
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
― Confucius
Anyway here’s the pattern. Click on the thumbnail for a step by step guide in how to create the pattern, plus you’ll find oodles more on my Tangle patterns page.

Hi Everyone
I have two new patterns for you called Crobe and Horse Chestnut.
Click on the thumbnails for a step by step guide on how to create the patterns. You’ll also find oodles more on my tangle patterns page
I’ve always got more than one project on the go. Apart from trying to squeeze in a tangle pattern or two, I’ve been sock knitting. I’m using the authentic knitting board sock loom which is great and the website is very helpful with lots of hints, tips and videos. http://www.knittingboard.com/. I’ve also been teaching myself how to knit socks on needles. This is the most adventurous I’ve been with knitting as I always knit scarves. My first foray into trying to knit socks on a loom was with a circular one. The result was hilarious, just look at the heel.
So I abandoned the circular loom for the knitting board. Much better results.
To finish the toe use the Kitchener stitch which gives a much neater seem than the one suggested on the knitting board website.
I’m currently working on some long red socks for my youngest daughter who is freezing to bits at Leeds Uni.
The next photo is my attempt in knitting toe-up socks on circular needles. I used the Judy Becker’s magic cast on, it gives invisible results.
Using knitting needles are quicker but I’m not happy with the loose stitches around the toe area. I don’t get that with the knitting loom. Anyone have any suggestions?
see you later.
Hugs x

Hi Everyone
I’ve been a bit quiet on the pattern designing front, because I was trying to photograph my bead creations. It’s so difficult trying to get a good photographic result. It’s either over exposed, under exposed, blurry. I have a small light tent, two small lamps, tripod and a digital SLR camera. But I lack the professional know how in how to get a decent piccy. Anyway a friend of mine is a wedding photographer, so I asked her for a morning’s tutorial in how to use my equipment in exchange for fixing a necklace of hers. I now think I’ve got a better understanding of apertures, shutter speed and such like. Oh well, the proof is in the pudding. I’ll have to get going and have a good play now.
I have however, managed to design a pattern. I was inspired by a photo from my French travels. In the Languedoc region, village doors were adorned with these strange looking dried flowers, which later I found out were called Cardabelles. They are natural barometers and close before bad weather and open up when it’s good. They are meant to ward off evil spirits, a superstition which seems likely to relate to the plague story. The spiky part of the flower inspired my new pattern called ‘Cardabelle’ funnily enough. Click on the pattern thumbnail for a step by step guide in creating this pattern. Plus you’ll find plenty of others on my Tangle Patterns page.
